Frogface

Screw writing days now, makes it seem too repetetive, drew this guy scribbling for about 20 mins. Starting to tighten up a little bit, but I think it could do with a little extra.

Note: when you enlarge this, it goes bright green, and I have no idea why.

Day Eleven: Monk

Probably the wuickest painting yet, made out of a scribble. I liked the way it looked a little more silk-painting like, so I left it as it is.

Day ten: Game Poster

Thought id post up this poster im working on.Needs alot of work but im pretty happy with it so far.

Wednesday 16 February 2011

Day Nine: Valley mists

Never really drawn landscapes and environments before, so I thought id start simple, just blocking out some hills and clouds, it would be nice to be able to draw environment concepts so ill have to start working on more of these in the near future!

Tuesday 15 February 2011

Day Eight : Drone

Mostly focused on the background more than the actual painting today, not that you can tell, think i need to really spend some time on refining lines in future.

Monday 14 February 2011

Day Seven: Reaper

For a Valentine's day paint this turned out pretty morbid, but I can't control what I see in the shapes! Couldnt quite get the effect I wanted so this is as far as I got without thinking that I'd end up making it worse rather than better, need to focus on perspective and a little colour technique!

Day six: Let there be light!

Another scribbling day, drawing was all about speed and making shapes. The shapes happened to tuen into a baby pheonix, bless his little fiery pinions.

Saturday 12 February 2011

Day Five: A little fan-art....

Fancied trying some character painting, so chose to paint a character from League of Legends, Tried to paint as quickly as possible to try and keep the sketched look.

Friday 11 February 2011

Day Four: Gasmask

Thought that I would work on my colouring today, really liking using a hard brush for a painted look, still needs alot of work but was fun to do!

Thursday 10 February 2011

A few thoughts...

Looking at my work I think that I should try and make things a little less hazy, sometimes they appear to be blurry when they should be static, need to try and tighten up detail!

Thought i'd laod up the rough of the image the latest post was taken from, this was just a quick paint up make from random shapes. I do like robots... alot.

Day three: Robot

Oh my! Colour!

Originally, this little guys was just a tiny piece of a much bigger picture, but i ended up liking him more than the rest of the picture altogether. Maybe ill go back to it at some point...

Day two: Convict

Day two and im trying to remember how to draw people, its been a very, very long time. Spent far too long trying to be detail-picky before loosening up, ill have to bear that in mind tommorrow (well, today, later than I thought!).

Day one: Forest speed painting

Well, it's day one and i'm painting trees for a project in uni. Rather than going into any great detail I wanted to get the shaped mapped out and for the scene to look recognisable, I intend to draw a few of these before deciding on what style and composition to settle on for my final poster print.

So it begins....

Greetings one and all!

Stu here, and this is my blog, Beastly Creations. The purpose of which is to post up my progress on the digital painting front. I'm fairly new to 'Proper' digital painting, so this will be an adventure!
